Four months have passed, since Johnny and Dally died.
None of the Greasers have taken it lightly.
Especially Ponyboy, while writing his Summer Theme for English class, he went into full detail about everything.

"hey.. Soda?" I asked, still wide awake.
"yeah, Pony?" He seemed wide awake as well.
"have you ever.. just, wanted to re do moments in your life..?" I was staring at the ceiling, hoping somethin would appear, but, as I expected, nothing did.
"yeah.. All the time." He sighed, then turned over in the bed so he was closer to me, he then wrapped his arms around my shoulders, so basically, we're cuddling.
"Like what?"
"Sandy runnin off... Mom n dad's death. You runnin away." His head was located in between my shoulder and neck.
"oh.. I still feel awful bout runnin away.. I wish me n Johnny never had!" I hiccup.
"sshh- honey, you couldn't have known all that was gonna happen. It's okay."
