In Eorzea, some say that the Warriors of Light were born with the Mothercrystal's blessing; chosen from the many preconceived souls of the aether. Others believe that while greatness is something that a privileged few are born into, true heroism is something that all should aspire, a pillar of humanity that anyone can live up to. But verily, Hydaelyn chooses her champions by machinations of her own, while surrendering Her gifts to the capricious nature of mankind's free will.

And in this world wherein heroes and adventurers are part of the humdrum of every corner, one bard's journey will change the fate of the realm.

A character expository-centric adaptation of Final Fantasy XIV.

The Little Phoenix Warrior by lsfenn8
25 parts Ongoing Mature
Prelinsa, a young half-foxgirl, has a tough upbringing - a sickly body, a widowed mother, and a low quality of living. Despite this, she has a strong fighting spirit. She has heard stories that the Path of the Phoenix - a line of legendary magic - can help cure her illness, and allow her to become a Phoenix Warrior who helps others in need. However, the Path of the Phoenix is considered dangerous to learn, and is only taught by a select few in House Silvermoon - an old group of powerful mages. Even if Prelinsa gets her once in a lifetime chance to learn, she will be faced with enemies - not just from the outside, but from within House Silvermoon itself... What to expect: - Hobbyist's first long work - Volume 1 is "complete" and Volume 2 is in progress. 5 volumes planned - Each volume is to be roughly light novel length (about 70k words), relatively quick read - Shounen anime action, military-lite action, some comedy, a bit of drama. Romance in future arcs? A lot of different stuff - Not grimdark, but definitely with some dark elements - An urban near-future fantasy setting with both magic and technology. Not Earth, but has Earth-like aspects - An evolving world with societal, magical, and technological progress - Influence from various things - shounen anime, xianxia, rofan, TTRPGs - Not an isekai or time regression, Prelinsa is a native of the world and there's only one timeline - No AI text Phoenix art is public domain CC0 from https://openclipart.org/detail/228829/phoenix-line-art.
"Goodbye Curly Head" by NUmaker
40 parts Complete
Through thick and thin the Law shall prevail. A new sense of purpose awaits us, children of light, in the land where it all began. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. Don't let the radiance dim and don't let the mind turn bleak. Wake, young traveler. Bid thy farewells and burn thy bridges. It's time to say goodbye, curly head. Cross post from AO3. For a shorter and more on-point description, look no further! I had something silly written up before throwing it out in exchange for that wall of text upstairs. It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." Anyway, it's quite lengthy, but hopefully enjoyable? Slide a comment if you want, I'll give you a tiny kiss on the forehead. Man, do I love comments. (Lastly, to point out, English is not my native language, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue ;3)

I got Isekaied into Magi. Having read the complete manga many times I know what the future holds and there's no way I'm going to let it happen. I'm going to use what I know to change the ending. Sinbad may be a comfort character for me but I know the person he becomes in the end. I'll do everything in my power to convince him to become a better person. Holding my own against his flirting might just be the hardest part. This is illustrated and sometimes there are comics. It is not in full color like the cover tho cause I don't have time for that. ((I marked this as mature because there will be on screen sex eventually. It is a slow burn so until then the most the happens will be in fantasies that the characters have.)) *Edited to add: I am ASD, and nonbinary genderfluid, normally fem presenting. This is a self-insert x Canon fic. Sinbad's attraction to women includes all fem presenting. & Since apparently this needs to be said: trans women are women. So if you can't handle that don't read this.
