Ayden Kromwelle is dead.

Having made the ultimate sacrifice in battle with Stenos, he leaves behind a legacy unmatched in the universe. Unfortunately, he also leaves behind the queen, their son and billions that depend on him.

Kathryn Kromwelle is alone.

Watching Ayden's life vanish from the timeline nearly tore her apart. She wants to grieve for her husband, but is uneasy. There still may be a war coming and she is unsure how to stop the evil king, if he is, indeed, alive.

Stenos is in trouble.

Having being found by his half-brother and taken into custody, he faces a life time of torture for his crimes against time. Ayden Kromwelle was all he wanted and he got him. But at what cost?

The universe is doomed.

As the wounded are cared for and the dead are buried on Edin; as Stenos sits in his cell, waiting for absolution that will never come and as Kathryn Kromwelle prepares to rule as a queen alone, something has shifted. Power and evil like nothing the timeline has never seen has thrown its bid into the ring. While chaos threatens to tear it all apart, something has taken advantage and heads will roll.

In this continuation of "The Guardians of Time" the Kromwelles will be pushed to the very edge of their existence and they may not come back. War is, indeed, coming. And above all else, one lesson they will learn is all too clear:

When you stand against a God, there's always Hell to pay.

It's been a few months since the books of beginning were destroyed and the Wibberly siblings were reunited with their parents. A few months since they each lost people dear to them. In the aftermath, their parents have tried to adjust them to a normal life, and a normal family dynamic. But the children know that it just doesn't feel right. They can't heal or live like this. Something inside Kate, Michael, and Emma craves the world of magic and their friends in that world. When their parents go out to the store one day and by nightfall have not returned, the Wibberlys become fearful. And a startling attack causes them to have to flee their home in the dead of night and return to the magical world. It turns out the ghosts of the past have come back to haunt them. And while these new loopholes in the boundaries between life of death allow the siblings to reunite with and seek help from some beloved friends, it also means their deadliest enemy is roaming the world once more, hungry for revenge. And so the three are launched into another quest to save their family and discover what could possibly be causing the very foundations of the world to shift. Michael investigates with a fervor, seeking guidance from many friends and allies among the living and the dead. Emma trains to fight to protect her family, helped by the ghost of her dear friend and mentor. And Kate begins to unlock the magic inside of her, magic that could hold the key to saving her family, defeating evil once and for all, and maybe even changing destiny to bring the boy she loves back to her. Together, Kate, Michael, Emma, and their allies are strong. But will that be enough in the face of the Dire Magnus and his overwhelming evil? And do those helping them really have their best intentions at heart?

Twelve-hundred years ago, the first king of Sacreon led a rebellion against an empire of witches. The war for who would rule next continues to this day. A false guise of peace came over Ert after two genocides, but there is no one so foolish as to claim the fighting is done. A prophecy claims that war will return to Ert when the moons are full once again on Ascenday. That day is growing closer now, and there is not a fool in the warring nations who does not dread its coming. In the midst of this all, the heirs to Sacreon struggle to find their place in this world of kings and knights and gods and elves and witches. A princess falls for someone she cannot hope to have, prince travels south to broker an alliance, a warrior seeks vengeance for the death of her sister. and the heir to a long forgotten kingdom quests for glory. Behind all of this, one man journeys north to an island of long forgotten magic with plans of justice, and The Wolf Witch goes west, searching for the one who can stop this war and unite Ert once again: The Silver Girl. Note: The Wolf Witch is meant to be a prequel to this book, and Sora will make an appearance, but she will not be a main character. By the way I take huge inspiration and influence from A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones so if you like that you'll probably like this (and my other writings I hope). Cover created by the most excellent @apprehensiveanne. It's very cool.

~ COMPLETE AND NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON ~ In the Five Kingdoms of Saol Eile, magic is the only currency and those who have the most cast long shadows across the land. Amidst lavish parties, sumptuous banquets, and sprawling castles, despicable tyrants have risen, calling themselves kings by right; emperors, by the laws of old magic, and monarchs, by the wealth they've procured. When it's rumored that an army of flesh-eating monsters has risen from the shadows, tyrant-kings are forced to submit to a far more dangerous power - the sorcerer standing at the head of it all: The Cursed One. Orphaned and penniless, eighteen-year-old Cecily Trask's magic has always been reluctant to emerge. But with the kingdoms at the brink of war, she vows to do whatever it takes to keep her people safe-even if it means breaking all the rules, reaching into the depths of her soul to unravel the bindings around her true power, and allying with the potentially dangerous prince, Daire Niadh, to do it. In a landscape thick with mistrust, desire, and incipient hope, Cecily and Daire cross paths in an unfamiliar world forever changed by violent forces neither of them understand. They should hate each other. They should want each other dead. But their grief both draws them together and breaks them down, until all they have left is their shared goal - to defeat The Cursed One, even though for Cecily, the journey means almost certain death. ❧ Copyright © Marcella Colavecchio, 2014 - 2020.

This story is also being posted on RoyalRoad.com On the western shores of Kliskorios, a King sits without an heir. With his three children unwilling to allow each other to sit upon the throne, and a realm unable to decide the legal successor, the Kingdom of Teleytaios, strongest of the Heptarchy, stands on the brink of civil war, vultures circling all the while. King Cordan's bastard son has proven himself in battle and rulership both in the last half a decade, though the coming challenges will put to test even the greatest of his efforts. After all, to kill an enemy is one thing, but what about his own siblings? There is no man as accursed as the kinslayer, so the saying goes. The royal daughter, ever a staunch traditionalist and dangerous opponent, stacks the cards and the court in her favour whilst her brothers, bastard and trueborn both, waste away far from the capital. With the masses of dispossessed lords and ladies of the kingdom at her beck and call, there are few who find themselves outside of her reach. The King's trueborn son, widely regarded as being mad and violent, will act as the wildcard in the coming feud. Whoever he chooses to support will surely triumph, though perhaps there is more to the youngest prince than meets the eye? But there is more to the rising tensions than a simple succession crisis. Ancient things are waking up the world over; Brythonic sailors let slip the things they have glimpsed in the Ouroborisian Sea in Anarian taverns, and the whispers of gutter rats and holy men alike tell of a cult long thought dead hiding in plain sight. And then there are the findings of the King's own bastard son in the northern reaches of the kingdom. When these threads coincide, fate may find itself rewritten by mortal hands for the first time since time immemorial. When all these threads coincide, fate may find itself rewritten by mortal hands for the first time since time immemorial.
