He walked down the dark hallway his figure just a black blur getting smaller and smaller as he reaches the stairs. The girls eyes were closing the light fading behind them bleeding out on the floor. She called him a monster and it flipped a switch inside him he was responsible for her death. It was true he was a monster and with each passing day he became less and less human. Before she gave her last breath her final whisper traveled down the hall to his ears. "I never loved you." He responded to her with a blank stare and said, "But you will." Turning back towards the basement stairs and leaving her behind.
