The institution trains very powerful people, with exceptional results. Children with the indicators are taken from their homes and watched very closely until their ability's peak. Once they have peaked, the children are put through extensive training until they become of age. But what happens to the children who don't peak? Or the children who peak, then fade. What about the children who peak, but their talents are an embarrassment? Why they're reintroduced to society, of course! Ella was born in the institution. She was supposed to have overwhelming powers, she was supposed to be one of the greats. But she never peaked, she was a dud. Just an average girl. So she was reintroduced at 10 years old. Seven years later she's been through 11 foster homes and four schools, you could say she has "attitude problems." The institution pays for followup therapy once you're released, as a way to keep tabs on you. Ella has made no progress. Her therapist suggests a support group full of people like her, as a way to get her to open up. They call themselves the superhero support group. But in reality they're just average. Deep in the bowels of the earth a plot is brewing, an evil greater than you could ever imagine plans to destroy everthing. And it seems only one boy stands in their way.
