Ink On Paper

am just
an average man
who tries to write verse
that people can understand.
I am not
well educated,
but after reading
some poems I think
education may be overrated.
I try to
express my feelings
to help myself and
offer some healing.
I don't have
a hidden agenda,
just a dream
of spending my days
on a hacienda.
Sitting in the
shade of some olive trees,
while writing
my memoirs in the
warm summer breeze.
