"She wore darkness and
Hellfire equally well.
That girl had always been
Half heaven,
Half hell."

Hundreds of years after the sudden disappearance of the Kings and Queens of Narnia, Fallon Hunter finds herself alone, unable to follow the path that had been once made for her. Battle after battle, the girl no longer knows what to do. That is, until she meets a mysterious stranger, and a new part of her story starts making itself known.

-

"She was a queen with neither crown nor kingdom, the most powerful piece on the board with no moves left to make, so she overturned the table."

-

"No one speaks to her anymore. She's disappeared like the dances of the trees."

-

"You haven't changed."

"Can't say the same for you. You're in need of a serious haircut."

-

"Here's a good question: how have you survived this long when you're so violently self-destructive?"

-

"Keep them safe. All of them."

"But-"

"All. Of. Them."

-

"Don't wait for me."

"That's not an option."

-

"You left."

"I didn't have a choice."

"There's always a choice."

"Not for people like me."

-

"Find me again."

"I always do."

Do you ever feel like you were born into the wrong world? Because that is exactly how Elodie Penvensie felt. Her twin brother Peter, and the rest of her younger siblings never understood her. In fact, they used to distance themselves from her quite a bit, seeing as Elodie's nose was always in a book, dreaming about the fantastical worlds she wished she was born into. And sometimes, wishes come true. Elodie's did when her youngest sister, Lucy, found herself walking through the wardrobe and into a land covered in snow. And for a moment, her life was perfect. It was everything she could've ever wanted. But all good moments must come to an end as they accidentally left the magical kingdom of Narnia. But when they're finally summoned back to face an army by the likes of which they'd never seen before, Aslan's words ring true. Nothing happens the same way twice. Because this time, they're given aid by Prince Caspian, the Tenth. And Elodie has never met someone so similar to her and yet so different in her entire lifetime, both in and outside of Narnia. So join Elodie on the adventure of a lifetime. "Oh. Milady Ashton, are you going to the ball for King Peter." The young centaur shyly asked Ashton. Ashton crouched down next to her, meeting her eye level with a friendly smile, "I'm afraid I don't know what you mean, little one." "You know... The ball thing... Mommy told me it was the King's opportunity to woo a lady of Narnia." She explains with her limited vocabulary and a small lisp. "A courting ball?" Ben asks the little one. "That's it!" She exclaims, "Are you going?" "I guess we will see, we haven't been back to the castle since the war," Ashton tells the five-year-old, sugarcoating her response to avoid disappointing the child. "Ohh." She nodded before leaning down to Ash to whisper in her ear, "My father told me stories from the war, of course not the stories with too much fighting, but he mentioned the greatness of the prophesied. You were always my favorite." She giggles. Ash didn't know what to say as the little centaur bounced away. She stood from the party, needing a minute outside. Edmund followed her after her, wanting to help his dear friend with the news. "Ash, I'm sure there's an explanation." "Yes, a simple one Ed. I left. Your brother owes me nothing. It is his choice. If he wants every spoiled, perfect, primitive, self-centered princess within a hundred miles lining up at his feet. That is his choice and does not concern me." Ashton admits, more negatively than she intended. "This is not going to end well." Ben comments, openly. ╣╠ Ashton returns to Cair Paravel and it is clear that in the two years she spent away, much has changed. ╣╠ Multiple POV ╣╠ Story intertwined with the golden ages after The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis. I only own Ashton, Benvolio, and any other characters not in the books or movies. ╣╠
