She sighed heavily. Would they ever stop
moving from state to state? From Pennsylvania, to LA, to Michigan, back to Pennsylvania, all in the span of a few years.

She ran a hand through her messy, h/c hair as she slung a bag over her shoulder. She hated moving more than she hated school, and that was saying something.

A small clatter was heard as a framed Polaroid dropped to the ground. Looking down, a smile spread across her face. Bending down to pick up the photo, she looked at it for the first time in ages.

It showed a boy, laying in the sun, holding a butter cup and smiling lightly. Everytime she looked at the photo, it took her back to the scene. The bright flowers, the smell of freshly cut grass, and the gentle warmth of the sun.

"Y/n, it's time to go." Her mother said softly, putting a hand on the girls shoulder.
