The Internship

I had two options for my summer internship. At first I decided to take the offer closest to my home which was with Florida Power and Light, the biggest nuclear power plant in Florida. But after my hometown boyfriend of two years, Tyler, broke up with me, I decided I could use a little change. I ended up accepting a job offer that wasn’t in my hometown, or my county, or my state which resulted in a bit more than a little change. I decided to leave Florida for the summer so I could work at Duke Energy in North Carolina with people I didn’t know and people who didn’t know me. Basically a fresh start.
