In the final battle of Tokyo Ghoul, Amon finds Centipede gone crazy in the sewers. He knows he owes the poor ghoul, so despite his qualms he rescues the monster. Hide finds the two, and does what he can to help.
Now Amon's stuck at Nagachika's place, with the world thinking he's dead, waiting for a starving ghoul to wake. He fears that the world will be right if Hide doesn't get back soon.
