Wendy Carter, seventeen years old, is practically all grown up. Because she's been mothering her two younger brothers all their lives, she has been about 30 years old since she was 3. Albeit overprotective and a little insufferable at times, her brothers love her more than anything.
James Potter, newly-appointed head boy, never wants to grow up. He loves Hogwarts, and he loves being a teenager. His new position won't stop him from goofing off with his fellow marauders at every chance.
The two have never shared anything more than some passing glances and a few classes. However, after James and his infamous friends' Gryffindor "initiation" includes pranking her littlest brother, she decides it's time someone teaches Potter to grow up. She soon learns, though, that Potter also intends on teaching her to act her age in his own way.

Sirius did something that he would never ever ever do, but he did it anyway. Epiphany
Lily's tired of the growing grudge that's taken over Hogwarts. She's tired of the Gryffindor-Slytherin rivalry, of the Marauders and their stupid pranks, of the blood prejudice and even of her best friend, Severus. James is tired too. He's grown sick of this game of pretend, where everyone acts as if everything's fine when it's really not.
