June 6th, 2001; twelve newborn children went missing from hospitals all throughout the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Ten females, two males. Eleven super-powered individuals, born to save humanity from itself.

Welcome to the Tenebrous Experiment.

༄

Glitch is one of the special few; one of those selected at birth to participate in an experiment that could save humanity. He's never met the others in his eighteen years of life, but that's all going to change soon. It is time for them to prepare for their first mission.

As the day draws near, the twelve of them need to figure out how to become a team capable of working together, and they'll soon discover that that is no simple task. Still, it won't be the only challenge rising to meet them as they struggle to fix the mistakes of generations past.

❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. I write characters from many different backgrounds, with many different experiences. If you share those traits and find that I have misrepresented anything, please let me know! I am feedback-friendly and here to learn :)

Olivia Scott, a New York girl who thought her life was edging perfection with a loving family, luxury, and friends. But little did she know it was far from fairytale, and let alone ordinary. Born with the powers far more dangerous than any, she was led to believe her life was anything but special. Living in a world of deceit, she was adamant on the danger she was marked since the day she was born. But no secrets can remain untold. And she was bound to know them. She was bound to change everything with the help of a mysterious man who suddenly barged into her life. With a touch of fate, a sprinkle of emotions, and bounties on their head, the two hearts found each other as they fought together on a life-altering adventure in their journey to save their people and their world. ~~ "Why are you telling us this anyway?" She asked the man from the future, as he leaned back to the shelf behind him after finishing his explanation. His emerald-colored eyes met her blue ones as he pierced through them seemingly searching far deeper than his eyes could offer. He had longed for her, every minute, every hour and day, though it was far more than he could ever comprehend. But just seeing her in front of him, alive and young, it was all payed for. "Because the last time, I couldn't save you as you died in my arms. And I'm not letting it happen again." ~~ A dark secret kept with a birth of murder, a life of façade, a leap from the future, and a love bound to break. The heaven and earth will meet and only she can hold them in between. Will it be enough?
