Crushed Underneath the Surface
For years, I've been writing in silence, creating worlds, characters, and stories that lived only in the margins of my notebooks and tucked-away folders on my computer. Writing has always been my escape, something I've done for myself-a way to step out of reality for a moment and breathe through the lives of the people I've imagined. I've written and rewritten countless stories, always hesitant to share them, never quite confident enough to let anyone else peek into the depths of my mind. It's always felt like just a hobby, something personal, something safe. Unexpected
[ABANDONED} About 50 years ago, society began accepting regression. More research was done, and tests were then created and perfected to identify regressors and possible caregivers, along with matching them up and creating places spesifically for them. Daycares, playgrounds, hospital units. Everything was safe and accepting, from a legal standpoint at least. Jake was a regular college student. He played soccer, he went to his classes, he partied every other weekend, and he shared his dorm with his best friend, Mason. They both took the test at once, knowing what they'd likely be, but.. they weren't correct. Or even close. Now Jake's stuck with 3 caregivers, struggling to accept that he's a regressor, and having to adjust to his entire life changing in front of him without him having much of a say in it. At least he can still go into engineering like he wanted, right? Or is that being taken away from him too?

A delayed flight. A stranger at a hotel bar. A one night stand.
