Strange New Vistas

Growing up in Strangerville, Judy embraced the strangeness. The glowing crater in the desert surrounding the town was pretty at night. Throwing pebbles out her window at the stumbling, smiling horde that roamed the streets killed time when she couldn't sleep in the small hours of morning. The odd plant growing in her side yard was fascinating, the way it glowed and almost hummed with energy. But when the illness gripping half the town's residents starts to take its toll on Judy's friend and neighbor, Jess, Judy decides its time to find the source of the strangeness.
