Grace, 17, suffers from body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). This is a look into her everyday life and struggles.

---

Through this story, I wish to shed light upon the horrific disorder that is BDD. It is a devastating disorder with devastating effects on the lives of its sufferers.

This story is in many ways an outlet for my own issues with my appearance. Although my relationship with my reflection has improved tremendously, especially after therapy, I still have days when looking in the mirror is painful.

(I, the author, am Swedish and English is my second language. If something is wonky (be it grammatical, spelling, etc), please let me know!
