Those who survived the attempt owe it to a mysterious mage, who without knowing them or their cause, risked his life to help them get to safety. But there is no such thing as a good samaritan in times of turmoil such as these, and Boss is convinced that this sorcerer has ulterior motives. She has more immediate concerns however, such as a gift from the mythical ferryman, who asks that she kill on his behalf to prevent the greatest threat to survival that humanity has ever known.
