"Red? Little Red?" Wysteria hears the nickname and a memory jolts through her of a boy with a toothy grin and shaggy hair. She turns slowly. Behind her is a lanky guy with hair almost as long as hers, if not longer. His head is tilted slightly in disbelief but he immediately breaks out into a smile once he recognizes her. "Holy shit. It is you." Wysteria is staring at him with inquisitive green eyes. "You... you do remember me right?" It takes Wysteria another moment. "Jaybird?" Jacob breaks out into a wider smile. ---- "Why is everybody staring at me?" "Because you're beautiful." "No... That can't be it." -x- When Wysteria Redbird moves back to the Quileute Reservation in Forks, Washington after the sudden death of her father, she's not surprised to see that nothing has changed. La Push beach is just as cold, the woods surrounding her home are just as scary, and the elders of the Tribe still firmly believe in Spirit Warriors and Cold Ones. Wysteria unfortunately is not the same. Something burns deep inside her. Everyone seems wary of her presence. She feels like a walking plague and wishes more than anything that she was back in Florida with her father who would be alive and well instead of buried six feet under. The only solace Wysteria finds in Forks, Washington comes from Jacob Black and Bella Swan, two childhood friends she had almost completely forgotten. As events begin to unfold and secrets are uncovered, Wysteria begins to understand why the Quileute tribe fears her and soon realizes that she is afraid of herself as well. "Victoria Rowe is a human metronome. Reliable. Consistent. And utterly forgettable." To the skating world, eighteen-year-old Victoria Rowe is the girl who never falls-and the girl who never wins. After a devastating twelfth-place finish at the 2025 World Championships, the critics are louder than ever: Victoria is "safe." She's a "double-jump specialist." She's a relic of an era where playing it cool was enough. But Victoria has a secret. In the quiet, midnight hours of frozen rinks, she isn't the ballerina Arthur, her controlling coach, wants her to be. She is a powerhouse landing quads that aren't supposed to be possible. Fed up with the labels and the limitations, Victoria makes a choice that shocks the skating world: she leaves the only coach she's ever known for the high-velocity camp of Tatiana Malinina. Training alongside the "Quad God" himself, Ilia Malinin, Victoria must do more than just find her technical edge-she has to find her voice. From the Grand Prix circuit to the bright lights of the 2026 Olympics, Victoria is no longer playing for a clean sheet. She's playing for a revolution. Because the only thing more dangerous than a girl who can jump is a girl who has nothing left to lose. number 1 in #figureskating on 02/09/26 number 1 in #skating on 02/10/26 number 1 in #ilia on 02/10/26 number 1 in #milan on 02/10/26 number 1 in #teamusa on 02/20/26 number 1 in #winterolympics on 02/22/26 *Please keep in mind that I myself am not a figure skater!
