This is a short story about a teenager needing to survive the summer before high school without her best friend.

When Alison's best friend, Nicki, passes away in a plane crash, Ali has to learn to socialize and become a better person in order to fit in with everyone. She just aimed to make a friend or two. Nothing more nothing less, but you never know what life has in store for you.
