(Been very inactive lately and I'm constantly stuck on this story so I may finish eventually but for now it's discontinued)
The story of how a virus both ruined and brought together the population of a small town in the mountains of Colorado.
Elena Dayis is normal. Always has been, and she has a normal life with three amazing best friends, when a virus sweeps the town. It only affects one person at a time, but gives that person superhuman abilities. Sure, Elena and her friends are just kids. But they have to try and stop it.
Memoir Koonthras has been hated by her mother all her life, while her sister, Adelyn has been praised and loved. She has gone through more pain than any girl her age should go through. But what if her pain was for a reason? What if she was born to be the destruction of her people?

Lara wakes to the world going up in flames around her. A virus is sweeping the world, turning people into flesh eating monsters. The walking dead. People gather, trying to flea the city. Lara and her friend, the only person she can call family, Annabelle among them. During the chaos the two are separated, believing the other to be dead. Years pass. Both finding their own ways to survive in their new reality. Lara finds her place with another group of survivors, Annabelle makes her place in the woods with nothing but willpower and a friendly wolf. When rippers and their pet walkers come to the city looking for Annabelle, Lara finds out that her family is not dead. And that she is in grave danger. The cannibalistic rippers are not acting alone either. They under the order of a mysterious figure known only as 'The Master' and even the rippers, who keep the undead as pets, are afraid of him. Annabelle escaped from the master before, and not unscathed. The scars of her neck are the proof of that. She is no longer able to speak. With the rippers coming to town she knows it is time to move on. That camp just on the other side of the city is attacked by them. Annabelle's last act before hitting the road is to take out some of the rippers with her rifle. Memories from her past are coming back to haunt her. The Master is coming for her and she is determined not to let him catch her. She will not be one of his experiments ever again.Complete

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along.
