Betty just moved to Riverdale and she doesn't know anyone. She meets few people, including her neighbours, Archie and Jughead. Veronica is Jugheads twin sister and she's actually lesbian (maybe Cheronica). Betty and Jughead have a lot in common but they seem to be just a couple of friends, especially that Betty is a little bit into Archie.
