What would it be like to live in two worlds at the same time, to fall in love in both, and be forced to chose one? Abigail Brown is just about to find out.

After a ravaging fire devastated her apartment, Abby was left suspended in a coma; however, though unconscious, she is far from at peace. Pulled into a strange realm, Abby tumbles into a second life upon which the fate of an entire world depends. There she discovers a pack of wolves, powerful friends, dangerous enemies, and an ancient race of people engaged in a violently bitter war. Even as she is thrust into the fabric of a world that is starting to feel more real than her old life, she is lying motionless in a hospital bed, connected to monitors and oxygen tanks. Can she save her new reality before financial hardship convinces her parents to pull the plug?

That’s not the only timer running. The fire was declared a kitchen accident, but Abby’s brother, Detective Jason Brown, is convinced that it was arson. The clues are all there, but no one will listen. Someone higher up wants this case closed and filed away. All Jason knows is that the arsonist is after her. He could be anyone.

While Jason fights to keep what’s left of his sister alive, Abby, too, is fighting for her life. What happens, though, when Abby’s new world becomes more real than her old life? What happens when she falls in love?
