Juniper Ruby VognJeanile. Juniper Ruby is a shy, sweet girl who lived with her family in the Arctic. It was a peaceful day--until native Inuits raided her family, then brutally murdered them. She was forced to flee into the middle of an ice age; which meant freezing to death if not adequately clothed right, or dying of starvation or thirst.
All she had in a mini bookbag was a small meal and a couple of books. Only lasting a couple of days, she was freezing to death in the great blizzard - until a boy saved her life, changing it forever.
