Birds Of The Symphony

Set in the spring of 1965, Dove Reyes, a Mexican musician from Veracruz struggles to find her place in America. Alone and undocumented she stumbles to find employment until she comes across a paper ad offering a position as a piano teacher to a wealthy family. Taking this as an opportunity to better her wages, she travels to Saint Francisville, Louisiana. There she's driven to the Donahue estate, consisting of a highly discriminating ménage. Reluctant, Dove auditions for the position despite the obvious misconnect and is miraculously given the chance under specific circumstances. But all is anything but well under the Donahue house, especially once Mr. Donahue returns from his business abroad.
