Five months have passed since Tenma's imprisonment and Astro is able to live harmoniously with his loved ones. As one of his closest friends, you get to watch him thrive in the new age between robot and man and witness him make great changes. Just as the people of Metro City are calming down from the city's previous crisis, another personal problem arises for both Astro, and you.
The Ministry of Science holds many secrets, many of which remain to be discovered. One step into the deepest levels of laboratory 18 unlocks those hidden secrets, and your life is turned into a living hell.
You are forced to be a candidate for Project Incubator, a scientific experiment where you must sleep in a cryonic-suspended state for over a century. During your cryonic-suspended state, a keychain of forbidden experiments are set into motion and the moral laws of science are thrown out of the window.
Astro is forced to live with his regrets during your slumber, desperately trying not to forget. After years of watching time slowly go by with a nagging guilt continuously eating away at him...
He gives in.
Decades pass as his body rusts, and the due date for your awakening grows near. Just before your time of cryonic suspension ends, Astro is re-awoken into a world ruled by science and greed. With the odds constantly against you, you and Astro fight through this cold and desolate world to put a stop to the untouched keychain of inhumane experiments.
