The 20-year-old student, Cassandra del Rosario, has no other objectives in life but two things: (1) to be liberated from the undesired degree program, and (2) to release her family from the curse of poverty.

For Lorenzo Castillo, the 27-year-old new mayor of the town of Hope, or "Pueblo de Esperanza", nothing is important to him but two things: (1) to be disengaged from his father's will and (2) to execute the scheme that was developed by his resentful past.

When their paths met, the two could not deny the curiosity and interest that they felt for each other. However, due to their status in life- Cassandra as a scholar and Lorenzo as a mayor- their sudden relationship became furtive. But one thing is undoubtedly true: no secret can be kept forever.
