It is the year 3560, more than 1,500 years since the awakening of the Primordial Veins-a phenomenon ignited by the cataclysmic events that unfolded after World War II and the devastating detonation of atomic bombs. The world has degraded into a wasteland of megacities that are crumbling, shattering ecosystems, and lordships of the 13 Factions, each one commanded by formidable Primarchs. The factions rule through brutal strength, alliances, and manipulation- each interested in power over the force of the vein. The ongoing history of Metal. This one is just for fun, and probably only fun for Heavy Metal and Hard Rock geeks like myself... The idea is simple: I wanted to bring together the ESSENTIAL Metal collection. Each short chapter gives information and trivia about a specific subgenre or icon in the world of Heavy Metal and is accompanied by the essential playlist of said subgenre or icon. I don't own any of the songs I list, these lists are pure for my fun and to promote some underground and forgotten artists. I urge people to support the original artists :) I also do not own any graphical art or logo used (although most of the artwork seems to have disappeared).
