I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors. The most egregious example that comes to mind is using the G-word for the Romani and relying on unflattering stereotypes. I plan to correct a lot of this in proceeding drafts. 3 years after Ben's first mission, he disappeared. He didn't leave a letter or a note, just ran away, not to be seen again. His friend looked everywhere for him, but with no results. So what will happen, when Erica, the super talented spy, who took his disappearance the hardest, runs into him by accident, 6 years later? This story will mostly consist of Ben's and Erica's relationship. So, if action is something you are looking for in a story, this will not have much of it. The story will maybe consist of some mature language and topics, but nothing is going to be too explicit. (Because they are young adults, I thought that it would go together, to make the story a little more realistic.)
