The Truth Will Come Out

Niall was never one to question things. He'd grown up knowing he was sick. He wasn't supposed to go outside for two long, or go to school. He was supposed to be careful, to listen, take his medicine, focus on getting better. He grew up with three "brothers", Harrison, Finn, and Kien. They were his family. Them, Liam, and Zayn. A perfect family.

But one day, Niall refuses his medicine. He breaks the rules, steps over the boundaries. One day, Niall is just tired of being hidden, being sick, and being sheltered. He wants to be a kid. He plays outside, he skips a dose of his medicine, and roughhouses. Now, he wants to know why he was never allowed do this as a younger child. He wants to know why his parents never wanted him, and why he wasn't allowed to be normal. He wants to know it all.

Liam and Zayn don't want to tell Niall any of it, but they know it is his right to know. While Niall pesters them with questions, they have to sort through what is safe to tell him, and what might hurt him more.

Will Niall learn the truth about his past, present, and future? His medical condition and his medicine? Or will they leave him in the dark?
