Torn between the want to protect her friends at all costs and the voice that screams at her to stay with them, an angel who is convinced she is nothing more than a monster struggles to keep the mess that she has become zipped up in the clothes that her best friends force her into, and to suppress the voices that are drowning out all other thoughts- including the ones that suggest her unwelcome feelings towards a certain shadow hunter.  

Although, along with battling herself and the tedious, never-ending war with Valentine, our angel learns that as she and her friends continue to hunt down the world's shadows, she has something far worse hunting her, and it will stop at nothing to get what it wants.
