Hajime Hinata is an ordinary teenager; an ordinary life, ordinary looks and nothing extravagant about him at all. However that changes one night where he finds a drunk man in a dark alleyway too intoxicated to be taken back home and decides to take matters into his own hands.
Now thrown into a new life with two sides fighting for his life he faces danger every corner and a certain someone very intrigued in him willing to risk their lives for his.
Hajime will have to face a lot of difficult choices and maybe even change his life completely. Imprisoned, running from the police and forming bonds with very... complex personalities, he's gonna need all the luck and hope he can get.

Nagito Komaeda is a mute boy. He's been mute his entire life, and fins himself to dream of what it would be like to speak, and being envious of those who do speak. Although, each day, a butterfly tends to come and visit his hospital bedroom window, an odd occurrence, to put it in simplest terms. Alongside this, Hajime Hinata is what people would call a normal boy. His life usually was nothing to write home about, and he was at least able to realize that. He hardly had any friends, the count only being two, and he usually felt a longing. A longing for a more unique and special life, something that would contrast from the rest of it all. As if to grant his simple wish, a butterfly is usual to turn up by his own bedroom window every day, checking up on him like some worried mother.
