Phoenix O'Connolly has been in a coma for four years and is trapped in a dizzying mixture of being able to hear the real world and being stuck in a tornado of visions. But nobody in the real world knows that, because they can't tell what's going on in her head. When Phoenix meets a new person in her dreamscapes, and he accidentally lets some important information slip, she has to decide whether to trust him or not. All the while, Alfie, her twin brother, is struggling with relationships and something he never knew about himself. Will their combined work to overthrow a greater power eventually pay off, or will they lose everything?
