At the end of the book 1, When You Least Expect It, (which if you haven't read yet, go read it,) Arthur was killed in battle by Mordred. Now, in this modern AU 1000 years later, Arthur finally rises again. The only problem is, what about the prophecy? When Albion's need is greatest? What will happen when Merlin's world threatens to collapse, and Arthur's the only one able to stop it?
What will happen to their future together?

Originally gonna be a one shot, but ended up being too long for a one shot. Merlin returns to Camelot after Arthur dies and gets banished by Gwen. He goes to sit by the lake of Avalon to wait for Arthur. Eventually Arthur returns. Merlin is not immortal in this version, however he is still extremely powerful. This is about their life together.
