Harriet, who preferred to be called Harri, was fed up with the war. Betrayed by her best friends and pursued by the Ministry, she decided to leave Europe. She chose to move to a small town called Mystic Falls, Virginia, where no one knew her name. However, there was more to this town than met the eye, and she needed to be smart and witty to survive.
