Before the black out, before the war, before the invasions in other countries. The world was normal and in the United States there was Nicholas. Nicholas was the most loyal and rebellious Chicano soldier that America had. He did what needed to be done when he was pushed against the wall. He always pushed himself to the edges of his limits to save who he could at whatever the cost. Nicholas has always felt cursed as far back as he can remember. Everyone that was closest to him always passed on. But when his daughter's lives are on the line, he does the impossible and asks his cousin and his best friends if they can help him when he goes to war with the Biggest Drug Cartel that Mexico has ever seen. But in the middle of trying to save his daughters, his loved ones are killed and now he feels like he can never recover from his loss, that is until he meets Evelyn. Evelyn and Nicholas see in each other something that they have been yearning for. Love and peace. Will Evelyn be able to help him through his time of need or will she leave him because he is too far gone psychologically?

María Villa Andino was once the living example of one who chased her dreams. She was blessed with supportive and caring parents, amazing friends, and a life that one can only wish to have. Her father is, or was, of Spanish descent and her mother an American-born Hispanic. Learning to speak fluent Spanish and English, she grew up to be a beautiful and intelligent young woman. With exceptional fútbol talent and amazing grades, she had an athletic scholarship pretty much in the bag by only her sophomore year in high school. She was onto great things...until December 2, 2015. That day, at the age of 17, her whole world turned upside down. She then moved from San Bernardino to Los Angeles, California to stay with the only relative she had in the U.S. -her father's mother- where she managed to finish high school and would eventually decline her full-ride scholarship to UCLA. She did the one thing she never thought she would do: give up on everything she had worked for, for a different path in life. However, when things suddenly take a turn for the worst for the second time in her life, she's forced to leave that world behind as well and start from scratch once again. The only question is: will she find enough strength to keep fighting or will she throw in the towel for good this time? Join María in this epic trilogy that I hope you will experience with as much joy as I have experienced while writing it. ---- Warning: I have written these books on my phone/laptop where I had time to edit at times and other times, not. I am fully aware that there may be tons of grammar/spelling/punctuation mistakes but I hope that my lack of editing skills will not discourage you, the reader, from continuing to read them. Trilogy Order: Book I: My Brother's Brother (completed) Book II: My Brother's Death (in progress, but not yet posted) Book III: My Brother's Legacy (in plan to be written after book II) Now, enough of all my blabbing! Get to reading, I hope you enjoy it!
