"Pancakes are sexier, angel-face." She couldn't believe she had said that; it was one thing to think it but did the first person she said it to have to be a hot stranger?

To her surprise and mortification he threw his head back and laughed. And laughed. And laughed. She was glad to have cheered him up but her face seemed to be getting redder by the second. She had lost the filter for her mouth as a child, she decided, and it must have been her father's fault. He was the one that had passed on his curse of losing everything. He used to claim that small nymphs were responsible; no one (not even his own child) seemed to believe him, much to his chagrin.

"Alright, little one, you win." He forced out between laughs.

She pouted in response. " Just order, honey."

He held his hands up defensively still fighting his amusement. "Okay, okay, kitten. How about those grits? How mean are they?"

She blinked, giving him a dead-panned look.

Annabelle Baker was just a waitress, in her humble opinion. An incredibly selfless, silly, small waitress according to pretty much everyone else. Jasper and Silas couldn't have been more different than sweet (and adorably feisty), little Ann if they tried. How could a mortal, a human female, manage to bring two of the most powerful men in the world to their knees? Against all odds and every rule in the book (official or unofficial) they had fallen for the same woman. And they weren't sharing. Fallen angel versus demon. And meanwhile, what is going on up top? Is there a hope for restoring faith in humanity?

Dive into the world of love and magic, any way you like to read. *** Sometimes love is the strongest magic of all *** Nineteen-year-old Rhia Greenbrook has lived in the sleepy town of Oakriver in a house with three generations of witches her entire life. Rhia draws her magic from the earth and likes to spend her time amongst plants and nature. Her practice is gentle, sacred, and-per her family's tradition-secret. New-to-town witch Valerie Morgan is looking for answers about her mother's disappearance from Oakriver seventeen years ago. Without her mother's guidance, Valerie has cultivated her fire magic on her own and she makes no effort to keep her powers hidden. Although Rhia is immediately annoyed by Valerie's blatant use of magic, she can't deny the instant magnetism between them. But amidst their magical connection, a dark presence looms over Oakriver. Unsettling visions from Rhia's grandmother and dangerous sleepwalking episodes throw into question Valerie's past and what role her presence plays in the strange happenings. And as Valerie gets tangled up further into the darkness, it's up to Rhia to tap into the full potential of her power in order to save the town she loves and the girl she's fallen for.
