Kayla is a fifteen year old girl and loves the big city but when her mother dies, she has to move to her uncles house in the country.
She hates the farm as soon as she sees at it but that changes fast when she sees a wild mustang roaming around their field and names it Freckles. She becomes great friends with the horse and a young girl, Ashley, also sees Freckles and falls in love with him too.
Ashely's rich father tries to buy the horse from Kayla and ends up stealing Freckles. Kayla steals him back and ends up getting sued.
Will Kayla have to move back to the big city to live with her grandma?
Will Kayla go to jail?
And will Kayla ever see Freckles ever again?
