“Selena wake up!” I screamed for the thousandth time. “Give me one more minute.” She said groggily. I had to find a way to wake her up, and quickly. “Look Selena, I am only going to say this one more time. WAKE THE HECK UP!” “Oh my god!” She snapped sitting up and looking at me but not noticing the change in scenery. “Why can’t you just let me sleep I’m tired! I’m sorry! I didn’t get much sleep last night so just let me sleep!” she snapped. “Are you done?” I asked calmly. “What do you mean am I done? Are you seriously kidding-” she said before I grabbed her head and made her look around. “Where are you? What did you do? How did this happen?” she rambled along with like twenty other questions that I simply answered by snapping my fingers mockingly. It took her a second to realize but once she did she flipped. “Oh my god! It actually worked!” she shrieked killing my ear drums. “Yeah no shit, Sherlock.” “Hey! No need for the rude maybe you’re the one who needs the nap not me.” I just rolled my eyes and gave her a sarcastic smile. Ok maybe I do need a nap. “Now question.” She trailed on. “Not that I don’t love it here but, how do we get back?” she had a good point. I opened my mouth to answer her but no words came out because honestly I had no idea myself. I then thought about it again, then looped my arm into her arm and snapped both my fingers and when I opened my eyes we were back on my bed. “Like that.” I said with a smile on my face

There's nothing worse than deception. To know your world isn't as safe as you expected it to be. To realize you're absolutely useless when it matters. To understand your best friend has kept a secret that would make or break you. Tara Koldem's entire life was just taken from her right in front of her. With no other choice, she's forced to leave behind everything. After a good night's rest, a new objective is in mind: find the person who stole everything from her and make them pay. With her new friend Devin by her side, nothing seems impossible. But when she realizes Devin kept a life changing secret from her, where does her judgment go from there? Sneak Peek: I tried to get up. But I couldn't feel any parts of my body. There was blood dripping from everywhere I looked. I could swear my leg was broken. Damn that troll was just tossing and throwing me around like I was a doll. Everything was silent except the ringing in my ears and the cheering and jeering of the audience above the commands of the queen to kill me. I could hear something else. A cry. A sobbing cry. I had enough strength left in my body to turn my head. And that's when all sense of pain left my body. I saw Devin with a blade to her neck next to the queen. She was crying out to me, "Please Tara just surrender! You'll die if you keep going! PLEASE!!!" She cried and begged me to stop but the queen silenced her. I tried to get to her but I couldn't get up. I sat there thinking to myself frantically "What do I do?! What do I do?!" She sounded so terrified. The Season Winter troll I was battling went to pick me up before its hand and head were sliced off in a split second. The audience went silent as I stood and glared at the Queen pointing my sword at her, its blade dripping the blood of my defeated opponent. The Guardian gave me the power surge I needed to force my way through the Queen's defenses, who she demanded subdue me. They were innocent, but stood in my way. So I had to cut them down.
