"Dante." And there it was. The dreaded middle name. My body immediately freezes, my eyes trained to my plate and my hands frozen in the air, my drink hovering over the table. I quickly take a sip, putting it down before looking over all my siblings.
We all knew that the middle name meant hell for us.
They all divert their looks to their plates and I look towards my father. He casts his look away and there's only one person left for me to look at. I squeeze my eyes shut, before opening them and allowing them to instantly land on the voice calling me.
"Yes, Mother?"
She was angry. I knew it. But the way she didn't even reply made me scared.
