The human race finally did it; they pushed the limits of spoil and ruin, waste and drainage. Though they anticipated many things such as the fall of civilisation and mass extinction of countless species; both fauna and flora, they did not expect to survive. The Apex predators adapted... but at the cost of their humanity. Dahlia is alone. Having lost her parents and her privileged lifestyle, she now has to face the elements of the scorned earth and an impending transition... Notes : This is a story I started writing in 2014, sadly after a lot of effort I lost all my work and abandoned the story for some time. Now I want to commit to it once again. I will be posting one or two chapters weekly, I'm new to Wattpad so if you have any suggestions please let me know ! Thank you.

The world is dying. The infection doesn't just take lives-it warps them, turning people into something unrecognizable. Something monstrous. Survivors hide, whispering of those lost to the sickness, but the infected are not the only danger. Amias refuses to believe all hope is gone. He clings to the idea that some can still be saved. Eclipse knows better. She has seen what mercy costs, and she won't make that mistake again. Survival is the only rule. Forced together in a land where the infected aren't the only predators, they must fight to stay ahead of the growing darkness. Something watches from the trees, waiting. Hunting. And in a world where humanity is slipping away, one truth remains: They never let go.
