After losing her mother to cancer Iris is forced to go live with her Father who is living with the step-sister (Lorelei) she never wanted or liked. Joining a new school and having to adapt to a new surrounding, new city and most of all a new family does not make things any easier but Iris knows she has very little choice in the matter now that her mother is gone. Lorelei does not know how to take Iris' arrival but does her best to accommodate the 'unexpected stranger'. It doesn't take long before the two build a close but rocky relationship. Like any relationship with two sisters it has its ups and downs. They learn about life, nearly lose their lives, help each other through 'boy' problems, argue, cry and laugh through the experience in this coming of age story.

Ever since Zyphur's death and her awakening, Galvana has been living on Wublin Island with her dads. But just like Pickle, she doesn't want to stay on the island forever. Although her father worries about sending her to school, Thrum manages to convince him that she'll be fine. However, at school, things are a bit... less than fine. Students and teachers getting sick and coughing up blood, memories of her past life coming back, and a crush on a new (old?) friend. It's time for Galvana to follow in Pickle's footsteps, because there's a new rare wubbox that needs destroying.
