For Ella-Rose Riley her world is black. She can't see five minutes in front of her, let alone her future. With a haunted past that she struggles to let go of. So used to being around people who don't want her, what happens when she gets sent away? Will the people actually care? Or will Ella push them away before she can even find out?

Have you ever felt so broken that you couldn't pull yourself out of bed and continue to live your life like you used to. what if healing someone gave you their pain? and what if taking someone's pain meant you were permanently stuck with it? A wish was made, and the world was given these conditions after years of healers being constantly used. what happens to those in pain? what happens to those who wish to have no pain? Like those people who supported you, then stabbed you from the back. Those who smiled this second, then spit out their bad words towards you in the next second.
