'His sharp fangs clashed out of his gums and his eyes turned red.
His grip on my arm was growing stronger. His fangs came dangerously close to my neck. I was screaming for help and squirming around.
"Don't hurt her." A stern but yet calm voice said from behind the man who was trying to kill me.
"Oh, Sir Dallas. I was trying to teach this human a lesson." The man said in his British accent.
I looked up to this 'Sir Dallas' and couldn't believe my eyes.
A handsome young boy was staring down at me. His light brown hair was swooshed up into a quiff.
He had gorgeous hazel brown eyes and full lips.
"Let her go, Daxton." Sir Dallas ordered.
The man violently released my arm and gave me a glare.
I stood up and dusted the dirt from my arm.
"Leave. Now Daxton." Sir Dallas said in a stern voice. The man quickly took off.
"And who might you be, human?" Sir Dallas asked.
"Arabella." I said quietly.
"Sir Dallas. That's what my people call me. But I prefer Cameron."

"Oomph!" The sound rushed out of my mouth as the door opened before I could reach the handle and my body hit a wall. I took a step back and realized that it wasn't in fact a wall, but instead a very attractive male. I looked up at his head to see a very messy, but sexy, mop of black hair on top of his head. When I looked closer, I noticed that his hair was a very deep brown that was probably often mistaken for black. My gaze traveled downward to his eyes, where I found two deep, ocean blue eyes looking back at me. My gaze travelled farther down to his crooked nose, to which I assumed came from too many fights. My eyes finally found his pink, very plump lips, which were turned into a sneer. "You have got to be kidding me!" His pink lips said in a very offensive voice. My eyes turned questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. "Whatever, lets finish this. I, Ashton Carter, reject you, as my mate." He, or Ashton, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? On my first day? The first person I make eye contact with at this school, rejects me. No time for discussion. I grab his arm and press the tip of the knife harder, just barely breaking the skin. He winces, realizing I mean business, and gets up. The idiot prince seems to finally get the memo, running alongside me until we're a safe distance away. "What the hell was that about?" his ragged breaths take the sting out of his words. I've never seen him like this before. Cheeks red, chest heaving, hunched over himself on the stump of a tree. For once, he looks like an authentic person. Of course, this is merely an illusion. Jasper Devereaux is an arrogant, entitled dirtbag, nothing more. I can't believe I just jeopardized my favorite trade spot for him. He demands to know why I pulled a knife on him instead of just telling him he was in danger. I explain to him that the reason for the dagger was glaringly obvious if you consider the way he acted when I did use it. If he was willing to argue with a blade against his skin, there is no way he'd have left that place in good hands if I hadn't forced him to.
