My name is Maia, and I am surviving the Haze one day at a time. I am a sixteen-year-old nomad who travels all over Texas, running from the Haze with my twin.

It's been six months since the Haze began, and it's only getting worse. More and more people are being taken over by parasites that wish to destroy humanity. We don't know why, and we don't know what they are, or what they want.

They're trying to destroy us, to get us to turn on one another.
