In these past few days I've leaned 5 things: 1) Dying doesn't seem as bad when you are destined to be killed anyway 2) You are here for a reason, but we won't tell you the reason because we actually don't know it either. 3) If you are ever at any point in time by yourself, you are dead, you just haven't been killed yet. 4) The Shadows can kill us but we aren't smart enough to figure out how to kill them. 5) You have one purpose: Find a way to kill them, or die trying because killing them is the only way out. ***** Leah Miller is your regular teenage outcast who has a fear of getting scared. Her memories have been wiped and she remembers nothing of her past. But as she awakes in a new world, they tell her she has to save everyone from their shadows who have destroyed society. As Leah starts her training, she laughs at the idea. How is she supposed to help anyone if she can't even help herself?

Constance thought she could finally stop looking over her shoulder. She has a steady job as a hairstylist, rents a small apartment next door to her best friend, and keeps a routine that distracts her just enough to not have to dwell on her past. All seems right in her world until a homeless man who's on the FBI's Most Wanted list comes barreling through the salon, effectively ripping apart all the hard work she put into her life. Now she is forced to live as a fugitive from the law alongside the infuriating man who might just be the one to drag the skeletons out of her closet. Between her unresolved past and his unsure future, Constance works to clear his name so she can go back to living inconspicuously before the FBI catches them, or worse before the Mafia catches her. *** Luca didn't want to get attached. He had learned the hard way that people are innately bad and nobody really cares about you; his situation is a prime example of that. However, when a bossy woman shows kindness for no other reason than she wants to, he can't help but return to her house to save her from the goons following his trail and suddenly finds himself responsible for a woman with a past as mysterious as his future. With his new traveling companion having the appetite of a bear and an inability to be quiet, he soon learns that Constance is hard to keep at arm's length. While desperately trying to prove his innocence, Luca gets unexpectedly wrapped up in the strange, caring, trouble-making girl who just might be the key for him to get his life back. *** Highest Ranking: #1 Scissors #6 FBIagent #9 FBI #10 OnTheRun
