Dr. Arowitz was a deeply loyal and respected member of what was known by many titles, but was generally referred to as "the institute". Her work was everything to her, abandoned and thrown from home to home was the only thing in her early life she could remember, but this... This was her home, a place she felt she belonged, where she felt she was made for... However, the great war very much had something else, in mind....
'The institute' I've made in this story was only a smaller more secret but deeply complex operational workplace. They're main and true mission was to reform to human body and mind, to rebuild and figure how the single most resilient and intelligent species, could become something even more.

Things become complicated however when she comes across a Lone Wanderer in Megaton who is looking for his father. It's when it's mentioned that his father had a Brotherhood of Steel friend when Artemis takes interest and offers to go with him since she's also on her way to them. On their journey they come across the Enclave, an old enemy of the Brotherhood. Things come to a head as to who holds the Jefferson Memorial, the sight of Project Purity and war immediately breaks out between the two factions.
