Somehow, she and Damian became close but after Deathstroke's attack, the league members Tom and Sabine Dupain-Cheng decided to adopt Marinette and take her to Paris. She never saw Damian again. The stakes have slowly risen with every battle and even with the Lucky Charm cure they can longer ignore the aches of wounds that aren't there.
