Perdita knows that getting lost for the third time means that she'll be sent back home for more training, and that's one thing that she desperately wants to avoid. However, the sudden appearance of a man, who logically should be dead, means uncertainty for her. This new discovery might mean that she won't have to go home, especially as it's discovered that this mystery non-human will only talk to her.
