After the events of Vampire Knight have settled the Academy has been rebuilt and everything has gone back to normal.
Or so everyone thought.
After a long disappearance Zero has suddenly returned to the Academy to find big changes within.
Kaname realized his one real love had been Zero all along. With Zero's reappearance it's the perfect time to try to kindle a love between them he so desperately craves. But to reach what he so desperately wants he must break the hatred that Zero has for him, such a thing may be impossible.
As he tries to win his stubborn heart he discovers more and more that Zero's return isn't so simple.
A web of secrets has been formed and the truth of it's mysteries are more shocking then anybody could ever anticipate. All the while the secrets Kaname is trying to break down are the ones Zero is so desperate to keep hidden.
And to add to the stress a fading and long forgotten race of creatures are starting to rise to the surface once more
