Over the years, Melanie Holmes and her brother, Sherlock, drifted apart, the promises they made forgotten. She became wrapped up in her physical therapy clinic, and he lost himself in his work as Consulting Detective for Scotland Yard.
But soon, to the surprise of Sherlock and the annoyance of Melanie, she is pulled into her brother's hectic and dangerous life through a series of strange events, all because she spilled her morning coffee on an ex-army doctor looking for a flat-mate.
