She was a shy naive girl when everyone first met her or so they thought. After that first day of school they start to notice that she's different then she looks to be but will she show her true self or stay the shy naive girl people think she is. What happens when she finally has enough of being the shy, depressed, guilt filled, daydreamer girl that she changed herself into. Bullied into Death
Bullying has caused many deaths in the world, and I still don't understand why people do it. America says they are so open to change, but in reality they're scared of it. They despise it. So many teens are pressured into being embedded into society's perfection, trying to be like everyone else when they were born to stand out. I dedicate this to those who died trying to be themselves, to those who committed and attempted suicide. Bullying is just one of the many reasons people are afraid to be different and unorthodox. "I walk down the school hallway, "don't make eye contact" I keep repeating in my head. The sweet smell of cologne and perfume fills the halls. I keep walking trying not to get noticed. I see the doors of the school getting closer and closer. I speed up trying to make it in time. I reach out to grab the door handle, and right as I'm about to take my step to freedom, I hear my name being called. And I know exactly who it is. The person who makes my life miserable. But more often than not, reality sinks in, and the happy ending doesn't occur. Especially in high school. The main reason I liked this book so much was because it was so real. It was a love that was destined to crumble from the start, and yet, you kept pushing your luck. We've all been there. The late night texts from your crush waking you up to talk about nothing, the unexpected butterflies when you see him, the gross flaws he possess that you don't seem to notice, or the small things he does that turn you on. Most importantly, we learn that love truly is blind. We're unobservant to the world around us when our teenage love obsession is staring down at us with those big, brown, adorable eyes of theirs. This story, unlike the truckloads of other stories on here, is non-fiction. This story is real and it happens to people around the world. Every. Single. Day. You concern yourself with things that just happen on the TV, but have you ever wondered what goes on beyond that? What else is there other than hurricanes, deaths, shootings and children being kidnapped? I could tell you what it is, but I get the feeling it isn't what you want to hear. Oh well, tough luck.
